HiMOS seminar series
Keynote speaker Matthias Kipping
Dear colleagues,
we are happy to announce that the 7th meeting of the HiMOS seminar series will be organized as a full-day, on-site workshop on Tue, June 11, 2024 (save the date!). The workshop will take place in an iconic Alvar Aalto town house in the picturesque surroundings of Säynätsalo, near Jyväskylä, Finland.
HiMOS (www.historymos.com) aims to support the publication of history-informed papers in top management journals. We are proud that previously discussed papers have been published in journals like Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Discoveries, and Journal of World Business.
We have now opened a call for papers and participation for those interested in presenting their work or joining the event otherwise. The format we have in mind is to have a set of 5 history-related working papers targeting top management journals.
Our confirmed keynote speaker will be Matthias Kipping (Schulich) who has extensively published on the use of historical methods in management research and is one of the leading specialists in organizational research on management consulting.
As before, the event is free of charge. Thanks to the financial support from the Jyväskylä School of Business and Economics, we will provide catering and other amenities, such as a planned boat trip from the conference venue to our dinner in Jyväskylä. Also, we will be able to offer discount rates for your hotel booking in Jyväskylä.
Please express your interest by March 31 via this link.
More information about registration for participants will follow soon, alongside further details about the venue, and practicalities.
Please forward this invitation to anyone who might have an interest in participating.
We hope to see you at the Säynätsalo Town House!
Kind regards,
The organizers
