Masterclass in Historical Methods in Management

A bit of a summary of the British Academy of Management talk in June 2025

It’s summer, and I'm a little too lazy to type too much. So I’ve tried out recording a podcast. Without the help of other people’s audio knowledge. Do forgive some of my editing attempts — but then I guess it is never too late to learn a new skill? You may think differently - but hopefully this is still of interest.

The podcast is a summary of my British Academy of Management Masterclass on Historical Methods in Management this June. I really enjoyed the session, hosted by Emmanuella Plakoyiannaki (University of Vienna). We had over 180 people registered, which is a lot of these events, and the recording and slides will be sent to those registered.

Organizational History Network is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Both Emmanuella and I thought the questions and engagement were fantastic, so the attached is really just a very slimline version compared to the actual event. But I hope it’s still interesting - and happy to hear from you about whether podcasts should be a feature or not.

In the meantime, may your summer be filled with great conferences and wonderful holidays!!
